Foundcheck (“Foundcheck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Foundcheck startup-scoring platform available at foundcheck.ai (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to provide directly, including:

• Submission content: pitch deck, business plan, and founder/team bio text you paste or upload, and financial figures (MRR, cash on hand, burn rate, customer count) you enter to generate a Foundcheck Score. This is processed to compute your score and, where applicable, sent to our AI advisor-commentary feature.
• Quiz answers, if you use the 2-minute quiz instead of uploading documents.
• Contact and inquiry information: name and email (and, for the Builder, Accelerator, and Seed Funding forms, additional details like phone number, preferred contact method, and message) submitted through our Contact, Deck & Financial Model Builder, Accelerator application, or Seed Funding forms.
• Payment information for paid unlocks (Advisor, Accelerator, Builder), which is collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card details.
• Operational event data: a lightweight internal log of activity on the Site (e.g., that a score was run, a form was submitted, or a payment occurred) used solely for our own internal monitoring, stored via our hosting provider and accessible only to Foundcheck personnel.

Analytics and Cookies

The Site does not currently use any analytics or advertising tracking cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar third-party tracking tools. Our payment processor (Stripe) may set its own cookies on its own hosted checkout pages when you complete a payment; those are governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy, not this one.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to: compute and display your Foundcheck Score and related insights; respond to inquiries submitted through our forms; process payments for paid unlocks; operate, secure, and improve the Site; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your information. We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the Site: our form-delivery provider (Web3Forms), our payment processor (Stripe), our hosting provider (Netlify), and an AI service used to generate advisor commentary from your submission. Each acts only on our instructions and only for the purposes described here.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us at the email below. Note that document/quiz content you submit to generate a score is processed in your browser session and is not required to be retained by us beyond what is needed to deliver the feature you used.

Third-Party Links

The Site may link to or interact with third-party services, including Stripe (payments) and Web3Forms (form delivery). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; please review their own policies.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
